Missions Team
The CTK missions team serves the church by providing regular contact and support for our local and global missionaries. The team also serves to encourage, educate, and equip our congregation with regard to missions.
The CTK missions team endeavors to serve our missions partners well by assigning one missions team member to each missionary. Each team member is responsible for making monthly contact with our partners for the purpose of prayer and encouragement. Additionally that team member is charged with championing that partner and their work to the rest of the congregation.
At CTK, we also believe that it is the responsibility of the entire congregation to remain actively involved in the work of missions.
The CTK missions team endeavors to serve our congregation by providing them with regular updates on the work and lives of our partners. We also organize church-wide meetings and invite our partners or special speakers to talk about the challenges, and opportunities that they see around the world. We also hold prayer meetings to remind and encourage members of our congregation to be praying for the ongoing work of the Church.
Another way our team serves the congregation is by organizing and gathering members to go on short-term missions trips. These trips help to open the eyes of our congregation to the needs of the world outside our normal day-to-day lives and helps to challenge us to think and live more missionally.
