Elliot Grudem serves as the Senior Minister at CTK, a position he has held since the Summer of 2005. Prior to his work in Raleigh, Elliot served as the director of leadership development at Desire Street Ministries, a faith-based, holistic ministry located in New Orleans's Ninth Ward. Elliot holds degrees from Miami Univeristy (BA, History and English) and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He is the editor of Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know. Elliot is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and a member of the Acts 29 Network. He and his wife Kacey live in the Wayland Heights neighborhood with their daughter. Scott Redd serves as the Director of Community Life at CTK, a position he has held since the Summer of 2007. Prior to moving to Raleigh, Scott completed his doctoral coursework in Semitic Languages and Literature at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. During that time, he was a regular teacher and writer for the Adult Education ministry and Youth ministry of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Md. Also during that time, Scott's interest in the global Christian movement led him to get involved in training Arabic-speaking church leaders at the Augustine Theological Institute in Malta (under the oversight of the the Arab World Evangelical Minister's Association). Prior to moving to Washington, D.C., Scott lived in Orlando, Fla. where he launched and supervised the Arab Language Project for Third Millennium Ministries. Scott met his wife Jennifer at the College of William & Mary during his undergraduate studies (B.A., English). He also holds a M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando.
